Transcritor is dictation and transcription software. On the Mac it works locally; Transcritor Notes (web/mobile) transcribes in the cloud. You subscribe monthly or yearly, get a 7-day free trial, and can cancel whenever you want. You own the content you transcribe and are responsible for using it lawfully.
This summary is just a quick guide — the full terms below prevail.
These Terms of Use govern the use of Transcritor AI (the “Service”), offered by Lumia Tecnologia (legal name LUMIA TECNOLOGIA LTDA), registered under CNPJ (Brazilian corporate taxpayer ID) No. 54.293.486/0001-22, with its registered office at Avenida Praia de Belas, No. 1212, room 424, Porto Alegre/RS, ZIP code 90110-000 (“we,” “Transcritor”).
By creating an account, starting the free trial, or subscribing, you declare that you have read and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We offer a free trial period (currently 7 days), with no card required, subject to usage limits stated in the app and on the site. The trial is limited to one per person/device and its terms may be adjusted for new users. When the trial ends, access to paid features is interrupted until you subscribe.
Because the purchase is made online, you have the right to withdraw within 7 (seven) calendar days from confirmation of the purchase, under article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor), with a full refund of the amount paid. Simply request it at [email protected]. The refund is issued through the same payment method whenever possible.
You may cancel automatic renewal at any time, through your account at transcritor.app/conta or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future charges; access remains available until the end of the period already paid for. Outside the 7-day withdrawal window, periods already started are not refunded, unless otherwise required by law.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to install and use the application while your subscription (or trial) is active. You agree not to: (a) copy, resell, sublicense, or distribute the software; (b) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the code, except where permitted by law; (c) remove proprietary notices; (d) use the Service to develop a competing product.
The software, the “Transcritor” trademark, the site, the texts, the design, and the other elements of the Service are owned by Lumia Tecnologia or its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you, beyond the license to use described above.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available and working well, but it is provided “as is,” and there may be interruptions, maintenance, and technical limitations. Transcription quality depends on factors such as audio clarity and is not guaranteed to be perfect. Features that depend on third parties (for example, downloading videos from external platforms) may vary according to those services.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lumia Tecnologia is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or loss of data arising from the use or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms waives rights guaranteed to you by law, in particular by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor).
We may suspend or terminate access in the event of a breach of these Terms, fraudulent use, or non-payment. You may close your account whenever you wish. Termination does not affect obligations already due.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service or in the law. Relevant changes will be communicated by email or on the site, and the date at the top will be updated. Continued use after the changes take effect implies agreement with the new version.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of the judicial district of Porto Alegre/RS are elected to settle disputes, subject to the consumer’s right to file suit in the venue of their own domicile, as provided by law.
